Make your childs bedroom their own!

A child spend a lot of time in their bedroom - whether that be sleeping or playing, especially in a larger family their bedroom can be the only place that they really feel is their own. If this is the case for your child then why not make it something really special, and really personalised to them. Here's some quick and easy (and cheap) ways to make your child feel that their bedroom is their space to grow, develop and be themselves (without eye sore posters of their latest favourite pop star)!

1 - Fabrics! Not exclusive to a girls bedroom, fabrics can also be used in boys bedrooms with fantastic effects. Other then the obvious curtains and carpets, consider adding a bed canopy over your childs bed, it doubles as a play tent and comforter if they are having trouble sleeping too. A rug can really change the feel of a space - especially when the rug is larger than normal (this also makes the effect stronger when you need to redesign later on).

2 - Storage. Any childs bedroom could always benefit from additional storage, in many cases simply adding an extra chest of drawers or slotting in a slim line bookcase into an otherwise unused space can really help clear some play space. By letting your child choose the one that they like best, they will feel more in control and confident in their decision making. Along with the classic white options there are also some funky themed bookcases that could fit into almost any childs bedroom. Like this one here
