A new survey has found that many 12 - 16 year olds are missing out on their optimum 9 hours sleep at night because of gadgets and technology in their bedrooms.
Many children are up a later than their parents realise, playing on computers or watching DVDs.
Sleep is an important part of any childs day - this is the time when they digest all the information they have taken in over the course of a day and commit information to their long term memory (ie sleep is essential for learning)!
